Mohamed Ntumba (Albury/Wodonga) and Myra Donkin (Hobart) win Player of the week after a sensational performance in round 17 of SEABL action.

 

MOHAMED NTUMBA – Albury/Wodonga Bandits

Needing to record the victory to stay in finals contention, Albury/Wodonga Import Mohamed Ntumba produced a stellar game on Friday night to guide his team to the win.  Ntumba recorded 22pts@45%, 18rebs, 1ass, 3stls and 3blks to earn his second Player of the Week recognition this year.

 

Other notable performances were;

q  Frankston Blues Import Calvin Henry guided his team to a 7pt victory on Friday night against Canberra with 27pts@59%, 11rebs and 1blk.

q  Ballarat Miners Kevin White averaged 18.5pts, 2rebs and 5.5ass for the weekend, helping his team to a 1-1 record and remain in finals contention.

q  Knox Raiders CJ Massingale continued his good recent form with 28pts@58%, 6rebs, 2ass and 2stls against arch rivals Kilsyth on Saturday night.

 

 


 


MYRA DONKIN – Hobart Lady Chargers

After helping her team to another 2-0 road trip on the mainland, Hobart guard Myra Donkin earns her second Player of the Week recognition in three weeks after averaging 24.5pts, 4.5rebs and 6ass for the weekend.   Donkin kick started her great weekend with 22pts@64%, 3rebs and 7ass against Albury/Wodonga on Friday.  The following night Myra recorded 27pts@50%, 6rebs and 5ass, helping the Lady Chargers to a surprise victory over Dandenong.

 

Other notable performances were;

q  Frankston Lady Blues Heather Bowman returned to her early season form with 30pts@59%, 6rebs and 3ass against Canberra on Friday night.

q  Candice Rogers recorded 17pts, 23rebs and 2blks in the Supercats 60-56 victory over Ballarat.

q  Hobart Lady Chargers Import Lindsay Laur averaged 18.5pts, 13rebs, 5.5ass and 2.5stls for the weekend.
